This page is for my collection of fantrolls based on the Major Arcana^↗. Fantrolls are fan-created characters based on the troll race originating in Homestuck^↗, though these characters are largely inspired by the trolls seen in Hiveswap^↗. This page will not include in-depth explanations of what trolls are and how they work. Find that on your own.

I'm also adding Gene in here because they go with these guys but they are not a troll. They are a first guardian.

First Version

These characters were originally designed to be part of a Homestuck-based D&D campaign, which was never played. It would start as a normal D&D game, taking place in a classic fantasy world, then it would be revealed the world was ending. The players would need to play a fantasy-flavored version of Sburb to enter the Medium and create a new world. The only thing I kept from all this was the troll side characters who would've joined in to "help" the players.

While the basic ideas for all 10 trolls had been written down, only the main four had finished designs: Falool, Papili, Edisup, and Sixxis (originally named Loxxar). Gene was the only character to get a digital reference at the time, as he was supposed to be the guide NPC for the players.

Setting

These trolls are intended to be living in similar conditions to the trolls in Hiveswap/Friendsim, which would put them on Alternia.

Though not finished, I am working on my own moon system to replace the Prospit/Derse moons. This system has 4 moons, inspired by the four suits making up the Minor Arcana^↗, which I'll refer to as cups, coins, wands, and swords. Each moon is associated with an element/color and has its own kingdom, each kingdom with different values and carapicians. The cup kingdom is deeply connected to Skaia, to a religious degree, and has the most knowledge on how the game works. The coin kingdom is mercantile, mostly populated by merchants and criminals. The wand kingdom is full of tradespeople and artisans, with a love of the arts. The sword kingdom is strict and militaristic, entirely focused on conquering the other moons. Because the 10 trolls can't be split evenly across 4 moons, the coin and wand moons have 3 each, while the cup and sword moons have 2 each. If I ever come up with proper names for these, they'll get their own pages.

Characters

The cast consists of 10 trolls and 1 first guardian, Gene. Trolls are listed low to highblood.

Trivia

Each troll is based on two cards, because 22 trolls is way too many. Most pairs are adjacent cards, like The Sun and The Moon.
Because there are only 10 trolls, two of the twelve blood castes are not represent, specifically jade and lime bloods. This makes sense, as Jadebloods are rare and secluded, and Limebloods are extinct.
Two aspects are also unrepresented, breath and blood.
