Leehom Mestik is an indigo-blood fantroll based on The Wheel of Fortune↗ and Strength↗ tarot cards. Here is his Homestuck-style 2nd-person introduction:

"Your name is LEEHOM MESTIK. Your pronouns are HE/HIM.

"The majority of your time is spent FOLLOWING ZPLEND AROUND to keep him out of trouble. The rest of your free time is spent at the casino, feeding your GAMBLING ADDICTION, which your matesprit is happy to support. Both of these activities require you to carry around your ROULETTE REVOLVER, in case things start getting ROWDY. The gun can only hold ONE BULLET despite having SIX CHAMBERS, so you basically have a ⅙ CHANCE of it actually firing. Of course, you could always just HIT PEOPLE OVER THE HEAD with it.

Profile

Zplend and Leehom's fullbody

Appearance

Leehom is an indigo-blooded troll with eyebags and stubble. He has a promenant widow's peak and swept-back hair that goes past his shoulders, with some lighter streaks. Leehom's horns curve inwards, with arrow-like points. His ears are long and expressive, usually pointed up. His right eye has 6 gold dots in a ring, similar to the cylinder of a revolver. Leehom has a number of gold teeth, including one long fang in his lower jaw.

Leehom's usual outfit is a black vest over a white pinstripe dress shirt, a blue tie, blue pants with his sign on the left leg, and black dress shoes. The buttons of his vest and his belt have decorative gold chains.

Personality

Abilities

Leehom is big and strong, and he's always ready for a fight. Leehom always carries his Roulette Revolver, which he recieved in a mysterious package and feels compelled to keep. Inconveniently, it only fires 1/6 times on average, so usually he just punches people.

Other Info

Leehom has a lion-like lusus, only about the size of a large dog. The lusus isn't a huge fan of being kept in the casino all the time, but Leehom does his best to care for him.

Zplend refers to him as "Mez♰ik" in public, only calling him Leehom when they're alone.

Design Process

"Leehom" was somehow derived from the word "wheel". It also sounds like "Liam", a normal human name that means "protector". "Mestik" is short for "domestic", referencing his servitude to Zplend as well as the symbolism of the Strength card. Leehom's lusus is a lion, like the one that appears on the Rider-Waite deck's Strength card. The inclusion of the Strength card is also the whole reason he's an indigo blood. His sign is a simplified wheel like the one that appears on the Wheel of Fortune card, and his curved horns also resemble a circle. Much of Leehom's design is also roulette-themed, which is sort of a wheel of fortune. Visually, he's mostly intended to match Zplend, like with him having his sign on the opposite leg to Zplend.
