The main character of this story, with the scenes from her time in the afterlife marked with an uppercase case omega symbol: Ω. Sage is a ghost who works for Azzy collecting and managing souls.

Profile

Appearance

Sage is a humanoid with tan skin and light brown hair. Her hair is long with side-swept bangs, and it fades to a lighter color at the ends. Her skin has patches of green scales under her eyes, but nowhere else. She has sharp teeth, pointed ears, a long, thin tail with a heart-shaped tip. Her eyes are solid color, usually green, and glow with an odd light. Sage is transfeminine, not fully identifying as a woman.

Sage wears a white tank-top, a gray jacket, gray jeans, and boots. She also wears a copper necklace with a green pendant. None of which are real, instead made of the same material she is. Sage is incapable of changing her clothes, but she can remove them.

Personality

She’s easily side-tracked, by conversation or anything else that sounds fun. Sage is strongly rebellious, often doing things just because she was told not to. She loves to talk, often talking to people no one else can hear. She's known to bite.

Abilities

Sage is agile, a good climber, and a trained killer. Her weapons of choice are daggers, which she can create at will, though they will melt and disappear once too far away.

As a ghost, Sage is unable to be killed. Her body is made of 'ectoplasm', which can reform as needed. While she can't walk through walls, she can teleport short distances, with varying success. Sage lost her eyes as part of her deal with Azzy, making her functionally blind. Her ghostly abilities do allow her to see/sense the living and undead. She still can't read. She also refuses to learn braille.

• Like most of the ghost characters in this story, I designed Sage as a ghost first, then worked backwards through her life.
