Profile

Ollie's fullbody reference

Appearance

Ollie is a human with auburn hair that goes just past her shoulders, with blunt bangs and strands framing her face. Her skin is white with a yellow undertone, and is covered in small scars and holes. The skin on Ollie's torso has more of an exoskeleton-like appearance, and is espcially tough. She's missing her left eye, and her remaining eye is brown. Her height is 5'6", and her build is stocky with some muscle.

Ollie always wears her mask, which hides her whole face. The mask is carved from wood, with two main eyeholes and a smaller pair underneither, two small pincer-like spikes at the bottom, and two spikes on top that stick out from under her bangs. The mask has a dark brown strap to hold it in place. Ollie's typical outfit is an orange striped sweater, brown pants, and leather lace-up boots. This leaves the only skin exposed her hands and ears.

Ollie's voice is gravely, and she tends to speak in a blunt, monotone way.

Personality

Ollie is slow to trust others, with her usual attitude towards others being cold indifference or aggression. She's not very expressive, even without the mask, and prefers to keep to herself. The last thing Ollie wants to do is chitchat. Ollie may not be the brains of the group, but with her determination, she can get through puzzles and challenges fine enough. She's certainly the most physically powerful of the three, and she knows this well. Ollie has a tendancy to treat others based on how powerful she perceives them to be. Anyone below her is not worth the effort to help, anyone above is to be followed precicely to avoid harm. This makes her teamwork skills very bad. It wouldn't be inaccurate to call her self-centered, but it's more that she's used to fending for herself. And the colony, of course.

Abilities

Ollie's unnatural abilites are due to her added insect DNA. She has inhuman strength, dense skin, increased lung capacity, and slow metabolism due to an unusual circulatory system. She is also known to have resistance to poisons, diseases, and radiation, and the ability to survive extended periods of time without food, water, or air.

An unintended feature of her genetic modification is her ability to communicate with insects, primarily through pheromones. Ollie most often uses this to comminucate with the colony of bugs that live on and in her, whom she considers her family. The colony consists of mostly cockroaches of various species, along with some termites. Some of the cockroaches are able to fly, but they're very weak on their own. Gathered together, the bugs can act as a shield or move small items, but individually, they're also useful for scouting or distractions.

History

Ollie was created and raised by Rome Facilities as part of PROJECT:Garden. Her DNA was combined with that of a cockroach, with the intention of making her as resiliant as one. Ollie is one of a number of subjects developed by the project, though she was considered one of their more successful attempts. It is known that Ollie had at least one other subject she considered a friend, and that the enviornment of the tests was highly competitive. Eventually, the project had to be terminated as Rome Facilities was going out of business. LEDDlabs stepped in and collected Ollie before the company got rid of her.

Relationships

The Colony

Ollie considers herself an insect and a member of the colony. The colony, in turn, sees her as one of their own, an equal, albeit one with a very special job. Ollie's body belongs to the colony as a whole, and it's her job to move them and keep them all alive. In turn, the colony protects her and assists her wherever they can. Ollie cares deeply for her bugs, and she would take great offense to anyone insulting or injuring them. That is her family. Her family is admittedly not perfect, though. The bugs, especially the termites, will sometimes bury into her or eat bits of her. The insects have a difficult time processing that this behavior hurts Ollie, it's just normal nesting behavior. Ollie has gotten so used to it she barely notices. The bugs have a preference for blood over other food anyways.

Moe

Ollie's initial impression of Moe is that they are small and distracting. They do have some helpfulness, compared to Rat anyways. She's mostly just confused by Moe, as Ollie is not very familiar with the concept of cartoons.

Rat

Ollie is deeply frustrated by Rat's relaxed attitude toward testing. She's new to this teamwork thing, and having someone flat-out refusing to be cooperative is not helping. If only she knew not to give Rat exactly the reactions he wants.
