Seth is a magic-loving human and Sage's childhood bestfriend.

Profile

Appearance

Seth is a human with pale skin and wavy brown hair. He likes to keep his hair long and pulled back in a low ponytail. He's taller than Sage, but not particularly tall. Seth usually wears gray and purple robes, pale purple pants, and gray shoes.

Personality

While considerably more reasonable than Sage, Seth is just as curious and adventurous, especially when it comes to magical things. When Seth gets focused on figuring something out, it's hard to pull his attention away. He’s confident in social situations, and he can even get bossy when things aren’t going his way. In actual high-stress situations, though, he falters quickly. Seth has no desire to rock the boat and does his best to keep them both out of serious trouble.

Abilities

Seth expressed significant magic affinity as a child, and has been studying magic for practically his whole life. Most spells require his spellbook and lengthy rituals, though he's mastered telekinesis enough to use it in day-to-day life. He's a scholar and a nerd, and is physically weak.

History

Early Life

Seth was raised by a high-class family in a quiet villa, near the edge of the woods. While warned against doing so, Seth went into the woods on his own aroud age 9, where he met Sage. He continued to sneak out frequently, to explore the natural magic of the woods and teach Sage more about human things.

When Seth is old enough, his family sends him away to the city, to study magic further and learn to live on his own. Sage begs to come with, and while Seth is strongly against it, she follows anyways.

City Life

Seth is provided an apartment by the university, and gets a small allowance from his parents. He initially let's Sage stay with him, but when she starts drawing too much attention to herself, Seth suggests she finds somewhere more hidden to stay. The two still meet-up frequently whenever he doesn't have class. On occassions where Sage ends up hurt, he'll heal her and let her stay the night.

In between studies, Seth tries to find more information on dragons, half-dragons, and creatures in general. As Sage starts to express symptoms of Spirit Rot, he adds that to his personal research as well.

Death

As Sage gets more caught up in the gang, the coven, and everything else she's keeping secret, Seth sees less and less of her. The night before her death, Sage and Seth get into a fight, airing out a lot of feelings. The next day, Seth comes to her to apologize, and the two make up. Shortly thereafter, Seth is shot and killed in the middle of the street.

• Seth is gay. Bisexuality is actually considered the standard among humans, so he'll express interest in women sometimes, but he's much more into men.

• Sage and Seth's relationship is largely inspired by media like How to Train Your Dragon^↗ and Ponyo^↗.

• Like a number of characters associated with Sage, Seth was inspired by a Minecraft youtuber.^↗
