In-Game

The blazeborn is an origin from the Origins mod. In-game information on blazeborn is as follows:

Late descendants of the Blaze, the Blazeborn are naturally immune to the perils of the Nether.

Fire Immunity: You are immune to all types of fire damage.

Nether Inhabitant: Your natural spawn will be in the Nether.

Burning Wrath: When on fire, you deal additional damage with your attacks.

Hotblooded: Due to your hot body, venoms burn up, making you immune to poison and hunger status effects.

Hydrophobia: You receive damage over time while in contact with water.

In addition to this, drinking potions or water bottles will also deal damage.

Culture

Blazeborn were originally created as a more complex version of the blaze, by the same people who built the fortresses. While blazes worked simply as turrets, blazeborn could be created for a variety of jobs, like farming or record keeping. Now, long after their creators have been lost to history, the blazeborn continue to work and reproduce, caring for the fortresses as their own.

Names

As descendants of constructs, blazeborn are naturally drawn towards jobs, and consider them a large part of their identities. In place of proper “names”, blazeborn give themselves titles, referencing their preferred activity. These are usually accompanied by an adjective, something that further describes the work they do and its hellish nature. Some even like to get clever with alliteration or rhyming. Shorter nicknames derived from their titles are then used in casual conversation. True blazeborn titles are often direct job names, while wild blazeborn get more abstract with their titles.

Examples of true blazeborn names include: The Hell Herder, The Shade Gardener, and The Cursed Scribe. Examples of wild blazeborn names include: The Grave Raven, The Hollow Haunt, and The Underlord.

True vs Wild

Blazeborns exhibit different traits depending on how closely they stick to their jobs and their fortresses. True blazeborn are those who continue the intentions of their creators. They have a strong sense of pride and responsibility for their jobs. At any time, a blazeborn can choose to leave, and with enough time spent away, they will start to lose their domestic traits. Wild blazeborn are those who have long-since ventured away from their home, or are descended from those who left. Disconnect from their assigned tasks, they are instead filled with wanderlust. They're also known to be more aggressive or unpredictable.
