Astaroth

Astaroth, the Great Duke of Hell

Astaroth is a demon that has been sealed inside of an old ragdoll. He stays in LEDDlabs as a permanent resident, and has her own testing room. This haunted doll is legally an employee.

Profile

Appearance

Astaroth's doll body is about the size of an American Girl doll (18in tall)^↗, made of a soft fabric, with yellow hair in big ringletts. She wears a blue dress, a white apron with a pink heart, a pink bow headband, and a pair of pink mary janes, all attatched to the doll. His face has a permanent painted smile, rosy pink cheeks, and a triangle nose. While the mouth doesn't move, the eyes look around and blink just fine.

Astaroth's voice is deep and demonic, and she is basically always yelling. He also has the speaking mannerisms of a sterotypical demon, just exactly what you'd expect. Here is a sample of Astaroth dialogue to see what I mean: "Do not make light of my situation! My plush prison may restrict my physical form, but know, I am kept here of my own volition!"

Personality

Astaroth has a short temper and is known to throw things when having a tantrum. Experienced employees know to duck when she starts getting worked up. As long as everything is going her way, she can be plenty polite. Astaroth is deeply proud of his status, and will always refer to himself by his full title. He also places a lot of imporance on loyalties and equal exchanges; if someone does a favor for him, he will repay it in full. But if you wrong her, she will hold a grudge until the end of time.

Abilities

Many of Astaroth's abilities are no longer available to him, due to being sealed. Luckily, Astaroth has retained his telekinesis, allowing him to move himself and other objects at will, generating a haunting pink aura around the object being manipuated.

Astaroth has his own room deep within the lab, decorated as a children's playroom, that also functions as a test room. Occasionally, subjects are sent in to do chores and various tasks for her, such as putting her to bed. The room contains a small doll-sized bed to sleep in, as well as multiple doll-sized playsets to play in. Within the room, Astaroth is technically allowed to due whatever he wants, but is under an agreement with LEDD not to harm anyone. Astaroth is not allowed to leave her room without specific permission.

History

Astaroth is an archdemon, one of the original angels who fell from grace, and third in command in Hell, tasked with presiding over many legions of demons. Or at least he was.

Astaroth was sealed within the doll by another lab who was experimenting with demons, which LEDD saved her from. He decided to stay and work in LEDD's lab as thanks for the rescue. Despite multiple offers from LEDD to find a way to free her, Astaroth is currently content with being a doll for a while.

Relationships

LEDD

Astaroth has declared himelf permanently indebted to LEDD for all of his help with the doll situation. The two have become good friends over the years, bonding over their lenghty lifespans and managerial duties.

Dr. Anuran

Anuran visits Astaroth's room a lot, and is generally the one in charge of helping her if no one else is available. They don't exactly consider each other friends, but they're well-acquainted.

Rat

Astaroth is suggested to have a history with Rat, another demon held within LEDDlabs. The two haven't been in contact for at least 500 years. Rat calls her Ash for short. Astaroth rolls the r in "Rat" every time she says it.

• Astaroth's ragdoll state is a reference to the real-life possessed doll Annabelle^↗.
