Grey - Flowers

What I wanted was to fall asleep

 Grey, sitting sadly in white room, as she does

Close my eyes and disappear

 Close eyes, tilt head back

Like a petal on a stream

 Pulls the flower from her hair and holds it

A feather on the air

 Petal blows away, camera follows. Background transitions from white to black

.

Lily white and poppy red

 Petal lands with other fallen destroyed flowers around Anne

I trembled when he laid me out

 She is laying face down, hair everywhere, being held down

"You won't feel a thing," he said, "when you go down"

 Azzy, no face, takes hold of her wings and pulls

.

Nothing gonna wake you now...

 Azzy's wings

Dreams are sweet until they're not

 Anne in her garden, alive, looking hopeful, eyes closed -> eyes open, betrayal, color fading

Men are kind until they aren't

 Azzy's hand reaching out -> grabbing her, color fading out from where he touches

Flowers bloom until they rot and fall apart

 All the plants in the garden, losing color, shriveling up

Is anybody listening?

 Anne, in the void

I open my mouth

 Trying to shout to Azzy

And nothing comes out

 :(

Nothing, nothing gonna wake me now

 crying

Flowers

 soft green hue

I remember fields of

 Anne stands and turns to look

Flowers

 Alive sage!

Soft beneath my heels

 Looks back at Anne, looks scared and confused

Walking in the sun

 Anne steps closer to comfort, cautiously

I remember someone

 Sage is a little nervous at first

Someone by my side

 Both relax a little

Turned his face to mine

 Sage smiles and reaches out

And then I turned away

 Anne gets nervous, green fades away

Into the shade

 Turns away, and Azzy steps between them. Slowly fades back to white.

You, the one I left behind

 Anne comes through the door. Sage is on the ground this time.

If you ever walk this way

 Anne runs to her side, very gentle touch on the shoulder, color returning slightly

Come and find me, lying in the bed

 Sage looks up at her, eyes gone and crying.
